Some fitness idiots will tell you that you can lose fat by doing slow, long cardio exercises. This is a very big lie! Long cardio exercises will do you more harm than good; they will cause energy deficit. Also, long cardio exercises are often boring and a time will come when you will no longer want to do them as diligently as before! Why not take the easier route instead – that of shorter, intense cardios? Yes, you need to do intense cardio exercises, but in my opinion, three intense, twenty-minute cardio sessions every week are far better than three or five cardio sessions of 45-minute each. If you are a busy professional, you will appreciate the fact that it is much easier to find time for shorter and intense cardios than the slow, longer ones!

Some fitness experts would advise you to take to the stairs instead of the elevator, or use your legs instead of the car when going for shopping, or cut down on your dairy product intake. While all these things can help you burn fat to some degree, they are not going to be of much help if you rely only on them for burning your fat! Instead, rely on the more reliable means such as diet and exercise, which are proven to work time and again! Along with that, you’d also need a strong, well-chalked out plan to succeed in your weight loss efforts. Any support that you get from your family or peers would be an added bonus!
